Commercial media business around the world is presenting global news too simplified without an ambition to educate with details. Attitudes are formed by the simple truth these organizations are selling and consequently create severe ambiguities.
Lurid headlines help to increase viewing rates and thereby justify high media budgets. In this context a growing number of people feel that the world is not functioning on a news-headline level.
politube.org has started broadcoasting news from a different perspective. We invite people to share their audio- and video-content with us. If for example a politician gave a speech causing some international media-hype we would like to be able to show the complete speech in a video.
